THE HISTORICAL SALT CREEK BRIDGE WILL RECEIVE TWO-HUNDRED-THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR REPAIRS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. BUILT IN EIGHTEEN-THIRTY-FOUR, THE BRIDGE WAS CLOSED IN TWO-THOUSAND-FIVE BECAUSE OF DETERIORATION. THE REPAIRS ARE TEMPORARY, AS PERMANENT REPAIRS COULD COST NEARLY TWO MILLION DOLLARS ACCORDING TO WHIPPLE.
